Background

We are creating an immersive space that leads you into an innovative world and adventure with full of excitement.

Experience both the indoors and outdoors in a new and fresh way with the Immersion ecosystem. Immerse yourself and your loved ones in a line of products designed for community and nature. Switch the seating arrangement in your car to enjoy the outdoors or face each other to connect and create lasting memories.

In this Lucid Motors corporate project, we are creating a new physical car experience. As a UX/UI designer, I was involved from inception to completion. I proposed the initial direction naming to crafting the entire product, encompassing app design branding, overall in-car interfaces, motion, app page, and interaction.

Understanding Lucid Sanctuary

A single tap transforms your cabin into a personal multi-sensory wellness space with curated content where each experience is custom designed with an elegant combination of visuals, lighting, audio, temperature, and massage.
Sanctuary™ transforms the cabin to your personal paradise.

It’s a good start but…

How can we expend the experience to all passengers in the car but only the driver?

Pain Points

I identified three main user pain points. As a Lucid Gravity user on a road trip with outdoor activities, you might face problems like not getting updated weather, unable to use popular navigation apps in the app, and having no offline mode in remote areas. Solving these issues is key in improving the user experience for Lucid Gravity users during outdoor road trips.

Target Users

From Professionals to high-income brackets

To appeal to affluent, environmentally-conscious individuals and families, typically in their mid-30s to late-50s, who prioritize luxury, cutting-edge technology, and sustainability. This demographic values high-end vehicle prestige and comfort, along with a commitment to sustainability. They are community-involved, tech-savvy, and enjoy balancing professional lives with family and recreational activities.

Users Needs

After defining the target users, I set main user needs based on their pain points.

Keyword

I condensed user needs into 5 keywords, guiding our future solutions and insights.

Persona

Based on user needs, I created the main persona Luke. Then outlined his behavior and what he looks for with his family briefly.

Design System

I established the direction and rules to be followed within the design system for both IND and IXD department.
